I think the fabric is a total winner... although it might feel/look thicker, it's the one that keeps me the most cool after cotton. The little white pieces you see in the pictures are metal. Although the ones in the front are fine and you don't feel them at all; the one that holds the string and sits right above your crack is unfortunate.
